Misdiagnosed 1998 Had chronic cough for 6 years

Had CT Scan 3/21/2008.  In 2002 read article from the Jewish Hospital in Denver in local Desert Sun paper to Pulmonary Doctors that if their patients had a chronic cough to give them CLARITHROMYCIN.  I had Chronic Cough from 1996-2002.  Our running friend that was head of Eisenhower Hospital Radiologist took CT scan 10/1/1998  and found 1 cm space occupying lesion in the anterior Mediastinum which was not present on prior 1991 and 1995 Radiologist.  He suggested Heart surgeon because lesion is not accessible for fine needle aspiration biopsy.  I went to head of Pulmonary at Eisenhower and Head of Heart at Eisenhower.  Took Pulmonary tests and said nothing there.

2008 Scan shows FIBROSIS  with BRONCHIETASIS  is noted to involve medial segment of right middle lobe and superior segment of the Lingual .

2002 my Natural Hormone doctor wrote me the prescribtion for the CLARITHROMYCIN.  With the first pill I stopped coughing after 6 years.  Jan 2008 I had the Pneumonia Vaccine and I started Coughing again.  I guess it is against the law for my friend to tell me they were wrong.  When I showed him the new CT Scan he said Yes they did misdiognose me.  I am 65 and perfect Health except for this Lung Mistake.  I have good Insurance amd have seen another Pulmonary Dr.  She said she would like for me to go to your hospital.  She has started the tests.  I  have just recovered from a Cervical Disection & Fusion 3-7.  I am sure 6 year cough caused the Cervical Problem.

With bronchiectasis in the right middle lobe (RML) and lingula, you may have a nontuberculous mycobacterial infection, such as mycobacterium avium complex (MAC).  The infection may perhaps be the cause of the bronchiectasis.  You should definitely come to National Jewish Health.
