lump in my throat

by LOWA464, Jul 21, 2008 06:25AM
About 2 yrs ago I had the right lobe of my thyroid removed because scans revealed that it wasn’t functioning and they also found several cysts and a small tumor (benign).. I'm not currently on any medication for my thyroid as my TSH levels have stayed within the "normal" range but over the past year I’ve had more and more difficulty swallowing and breathing (especially at night).. it feels like a lump in my throat (right where my thyroid used to be) and a I feel pills/saliva get stuck and running has become nearly impossible

I’ve been ignoring it for the past year (thinking its all in my head… that I’m overreacting) but last night I woke up three times bec I couldn’t breathe. Something’s up! I have a doctor’s appt coming up and wanted to do some research before I head in…Any suggestions on where to look? Or questions to ask my doc when I go in?
