Nighttime Acid Reflux

I have been on Nexium 40 mg. twice daily.  I do pretty well during the day although I still sometime have coughing spells.  Sometimes at bedtime I take 150 mg. Zantac to try control the acid at night.  It doesn't always work and now I am having Nocturnal Acid Breakthrough once or twice a night, and I can't pinpoint anything I should or should not be eating.  Most of my evening meals are very light.  I have given up tomato products, tea, colas, onions, etc.  Would 2 (150 mg.) tablets be more effective at bedtime?  I am just about to give up eating at all!!

I have no choice but to sleep sitting up with a bunch of pillows. Due to gravity, it's supposed to keep the bile backup down. They say to put blocks, 6" high, under the feet of your bed by your head. Try it. It might work for you.
