I'm 40 & have alwats been the type to eat & not gain weight.
However,I do eat except for times when i get nervous & stressed then I do not want to eat at all.
I can go for many hours like this until I start getting the symptoms of hypoglycemia,you know,
sweating,shaking,weakness, or just feel hungry.THEN I will eat. And I am losing weight. i'm scared.
So I am concerned....Does this mean I am turning into an anorexic? Is this how it starts?

Your inconsistent eating triggered by anxiety and stress can be one cause that precipitates anorexia. Other possible causes could be a loss of a loved one relationally or by death, physical illness, life transition (e.g., going away to college), sport involvement which focuses on physical appearance or emotional, physical or sexual abuse.

I did visit the site & took the survey twice but as yet not recieved the results.
I have OCD and I lost my mother almost 2 years ago,also other things I am going through that are extremely stressful, could these factors contribute to becoming anorexic also?
Could you refer me to an eating disorder specialists in my area?
