Smoked Salmon

by marjan75, Jul 21, 2008 06:58AM
My son seems love smoke salmon, it's the only fish he eats since he was 6 months. He is now 13 months and someone told me that it is not good for the babies because they're processed food! I stoped giving him smoked salmon but he's not eating any other type of fish. I need some clear answer. Is smoked salmon bad for the toddlers? How many times they can eat it?

Many thanks

That's a good question, one that I'm not quite sure how to answer offhand.  I'd have to look around some.   I'd guess that its very high in sodium.  Check back.

Have you tried baked salmon?  That is so good,  I can't believe it.  All I do is buy the salmon,  rub it with grated lime zest and olive oil,  bake it at 400 for 10 minutes for each inch of thickness,  and it's great.  It's even good cold,  with a little mayonaise (like tuna salad but worlds better).
