Undiagnosed Swelling of Lower Right Leg

Why might a male patient have mild swelling of right foot and right ankle, given blood pressure on low side of normal, no history of diabetes? Patient has osteoporosis, scoliosis, history of stress fractures mid-thoracic spine. Taking oxycontin for chronic severe pain. Could bone cancer cause swelling given fact that Renal function tests normal as well as normal blood pressure?
