Strange Urgency to Urinate often

Hey, I'm a 15 year old male, and for the past 2 weeks or so I've been having the urge to urinate more frequently then I used to. For informational purposes, I haven't had any operations in subject area, and I haven't had any sexual encounters.
I was prescribed by my family doctor ciprofloxacin, because he believed it be an inflamed urethral gland. But, I've run the course of the medication, and the problem still persists. There is no burning or stinging sensation when I urinate, the only symptom is the urge to actually use the bathroom.
Since the medication I was prescribed didn't work, I'm starting to get a little worried about this problem, so if anyone could relay any information, it would be very appreciated.
