by DiamondStarMotors, Jul 21, 2008 10:11AM
When me and my girlfriend have sex she get a yeast infection, I' am scare is it me? do i have some type of problem? I was tested for Chamedia and Gonaria and test show negative, she just  had two Pep Smeres and everything came up normal except first time she had a yeast infection and the second time she had vaginal diagnosis. The doctor said  she got vaginal diagnosis from wearing pantie holes. I don't know what to do.

Don't worry so much about this; it's not the end of the world.  Yeast infections are very common in women and they are not an STD. It can be related to hormonal changes, and diet, and also to use of antibiotics. This is very easily treated with over the counter creams or a prescription pill from the doctor.

It is important though that both partners are treated for the yeast infection and not only her. Otherwise you give it back and forth to each other. You have it too, even if there are no symptoms. (and, like I said, it's not a horrible thing to have and something you are stuck with forever, and/or that is really gross in any way)

It may be a good idea if you both use some of that 'over the counter cream' before you have sex, and this way it treats and protects both of you.
