Dear Doctor,
First and the foremost...I thank you for your suggestions and online help which is really making this a valuable service to the mankind. I had protected sex with a female sexworker. After 20 days of the contact, I had undergone PCRDNA (HIV 1 and 2) tests. Both of the results are 'Negative'. But, I am scared still as the window period is not over. Would you suggest me to repeat the same test after the 90th day (or) any other test you suggest I need to undertake to ascertain that I am not infected. Please advice.

You didn't have a risk, didn't need a test and this is not the Dr's. forum.

Thanks a lot Teak. I forgot to add some details. It has been 85 days and I have got fever thrice (with no chills absolutely). I have slight muscle pain in the thighs but it would never lasted long. I was thinking that the pain in the thighs was due to the amount of time I spend riding to office on my bike. Other than these two symptoms, I experience none other. What do you advice? Would you suggest me to take any other test apart from PCR DNA to re-assure that I am not infected. i know that iam disturbing you, but I am in a panic situation. Please help.

I wouldn't have suggested you test at all. PCR-DNA tests are not diagnostic tests and I wouldn't have advised you to take one had you had a risk.

Thanks Teak..do you imply that I am not infected and do not need a test at all.

Correct.
