Myelin Basic Protien blood test

hi
has anyone heard of a myelin basic protein blood test?
i've read a current report that it is not useful in predicting or diagnosing MS as originally thought

but there are other demylenating diseases. has anyone else had a blood test?
mine came back with abnormal iga, igm, but igg was normal.
