Interesting observations. Anyway these are just some of my thoughts. You mention eating some food and getting overheated and have this pounding heart. Well isn't it normal, say we ate something spicy, our metabolic system speeds up and since we are kind of "exercising" whilst eating, our heart rate does speed up. I read in one of the posts on the heart rhythm forum a while back when in one instance , a man had a very fast heart rate everytime he swallowed food!!
I think it is a normal response to have a slightly faster heart rate when eating foods that kind of makes us "heaty". But when you panic over the symptoms , this will make the heart pound faster. I guess the trick perhaps is more or less acceptance with whatever is going on with the body. I know this can be difficult.
Some people panic when they feel flushed, others when their heart races or when they feel dizzy or tense. My trigger is abnormal muscle tension an a sense of suffocation (in the back of my throat)
Anyway, I hope this response is of some help.
