not sure about this

hi..i am 21 male.....last week i went out to a strip club for the first time with my friends and they told one of the stripper's that it was my first time there and while she was performing on stage she got a poland spring water bottle and filled her vagina with water and then shot the water out of her vagina and sprayed me with the water.  my shirt was soaked from the water and there was some water on my left arm as well.  i was pretty shocked at what had happened so i am not sure if the water went anywhere else.  i am nervous that the stripper had an std such as hiv or something else, but i am not that well informed on it, so i am not sure if this should be a concern.  thanks for your help i am just really nervous and worried about the incident.

Friends eh?  The exposure you describe carried no risk for STDs whatsoever.  No STD or HIV would survive in pure water and these infections are not spread iindirectly like this.  You have nothing to worry about and do not need testing.  EWH

Thank you for your response.  i am still worried about the incident even though it occurred  almost 3 weeks ago and I have been feeling sick, achy with somewhat swollen glands/sore throat.  i know you said the incident described carries no risk, i was just wondering if somehow the water could have gone in my eye or mouth as i am not sure if it did or not.  thanks.

STDs and HIV are not transmitted that way -period.  Your illness is not STD or HIV.  See your personal health care provider forr their assessment and help.  EWH

Thanks again for the response.

the incident i described happened on July 16th and i noticed the swollen lymph nodes on the right side of my neck last week, approximately 16-17 days after the incident.  i can't remember every having swollen lymph nodes on my neck before and i don't know how it could be coincidence that it happened at the very time that people infected start to see them.  i am just worried that someway somehow i was exposed to the virus because i have felt sick now for about 8 days with fatigue, the swollen lymph nodes, a headache, and a loss of appetite.  i am very scared that i have hiv and am worried about my life.  i have a girlfriend of 3 years who is the only person i have ever had sex with in my life an we have just graduated college together and now planning to start a life together and i am scared that i have hiv from the water from the stripper and now i am going to pass it on to her.  it just seems odd that i started feeling ill 2 to 2 1/2 weeks after the incident and now i don't know what to do and i am more nervous with these signs that i have something.
