No perioud

by tado1, Jul 22, 2008 06:20AM
when my dad was in the hospice house  i was on my perioud as normally; but since my father has died on march 28th, 2008 i havent been on my period. but last month (june) i believe i spotted like twice and that was it. and i havent had my period since. so..i wasnt on my period from april-june and now going on in late july..i normally start between the 21-23.

so my question is; would my father dying make me not be on my monthly? or is it somethig else? i dont want to go to the dr cause im scared to find something out. please help :]

Stress can make your hormones go out of whack. It is easy to miss a couple of periods in situations like you have had. If it continues though, definitely see a doctor. Have you been sexually active? You could be pregnant.
Do you have a thyroid issue? You asked this question on a Thyroid Disorders Forum. Being Hyperthyroid can also stop you having periods.
Missing periods is unlikely to be anything too bad.

Hi.  I agree with redheadaussie, stress affects alot.  my experience..many years ago when my Mom was sick and passed away, I was without mine for about 4-5 months.  I was scared so I went to my Dr.

I think you should see your Doctor they can put your mind at ease and rule out anything
