When do your kids go back to school or pre-school? Has it made it harder for you and your health concerns to have them home with you this Summer?

I will go first:

It is always a challenge no matter what age my kdis are to juggle all 4 underfoot.  Ages 17, 15, 10 & 9 ... now that the oldest drives, though, it is getting easier!

They don't go back until Monday after Labor Day!

My kids, 15 and 17 go back on August 25th.  I find that it's actually easier having them home while I'm dealing with all this stuff. Once school starts there's homework, soccer games and practices, always making sure there's food for lunches, just the general chaos that comes with it.  Right now if I feel like laying on the couch all day when I feel horrible I can do that. And, of course, I'm a substitute teacher at the high school so once school starts......I have to go too! BOOOO!

well my boys are 23months and 9months it is hard for me since i just started taking the synthroid last thursday and i feel some side effects from the adjusting to it all. my husband is in Iraq now which makes it so much harder havin to deal wit all this. i find myself more nervous when i am unable to chat wit him online than i usually did before. all these side effect suck so bad but i have to push through them daily to take care of my boys just wish someday i had some help.

Nonica1108 my heart goes out to you.<3 HUGS.
I find it just as hard having them home. My son is 9 and my daughter is 6. I run just as much now that they are home as when they were in school. Maybe thats because my daughter only had 1/2 day Kindergarden. I'm hoping to get more rest with both of them in school all day. I get up at 3am to go to work so everyday is a struggle for me when the afternoon comes. My kids go back the Tuesday after Labor Day.

I LOVE having my "Cuddle-bug" home!  More time to cuddle... She's growing up SO FAST...  I think it's hard finding things to entertain her, but she's so special and fun that I don't mind...

School or no school its much of a muchness...dragging my self out of bed to get son up when his alarm goes off, and I have had lousy sleep is a pain. Putting up with teenage moodswings whilst I am in moodswings/exhaustion is a pain. Having him home and him needing me to drive to friends etc when I feel half dead is a pain...so school break here was a week ago for two weeks. I am dreading the Dec/Jan break and hope his grandmother will do the right thing and have him for a few weeks.

I have loved having mine home. He is 18, fixing to start 12th grade. He is no problem, except that I have felt so bad about not being able to do more with him.

He has been so much help and so much company. I hate to see him go back. Aug. 11.

Well.. I have a 3 year old and 9 month old. 3 year old will be starting school soon, but the little one is home with me. It has been extremely difficult at times. I love them to pieces, but sometimes you wish to have some alone time to recoup!! I've had them with me at home from the moment I got home from my TT on March 27!!

Well I have been quite poorly recently, so it has been more of a struggle trying to pretend mummy is ok whilst she's off school. I find I do relax more when she's in school coz i don't have to put on a front for her, whilst at the same time I so look forward to her coming home coz the time on my own has helped me relax.
