OKay, so me and my husband are stuck between two names for our daughter. I need some help. We both like both of them just the same so, we need a vote to see what the general public thinks is the cutest name. LOL. Thanks for all of your help!

I also like JayLynn too!  It's very pretty!  CONGRATS

by gokuangel, Jul 22, 2008 11:57AM
i like JayLynn too but with Jane Rhea goes better i think

by durhamjk1, Jul 22, 2008 12:02PM
I like JayLynn over Rhea, but think Rhea sounds better with Jane.  Maybe a different middle name?  The JA- at the beginning of both names sort of clashes to me.

by babydreams9, Jul 22, 2008 12:09PM
I like Rhea Jane, it flows nicer. But would consider spelling Rhea differently because she'll constantly be called Ree-Uhh... and that could lead to some pretty embarressing childhood "nicknames"! eeek!!

For spelling, how about..... Raiya, Rayah, Raeya

by krissyy, Jul 22, 2008 12:13PM
i vote for rhea jane.

by Jame0223, Jul 22, 2008 12:31PM
I love both names! I think Rhea Jane flows better but I like the name JayLynn better...lol I am not much help am.

My votes for...oh gosh this ones a toughy! Umm...Rhea!

by msgorgeous, Jul 22, 2008 12:34PM
jaylynn rhea lol i know its not one of your choices but i like this one :) i have lynn and rae in my name lol

by kelliestarr, Jul 22, 2008 12:40PM
I really think JayLynn is cute but it doesn't go with the middle name Jane at all it just doesn't sound right. But I agree with babydreams9 I would change the spelling on Rhea because I don't think anybody would pronounced it as Raya. But Rhea Jane goes together.

by tazdevil1, Jul 22, 2008 01:34PM
i like jaylynn but not with jane - it's too much....i also like rhea but i first thought it was pronounced re-uh, like babydreams said - maybe a different spelling......i like raiya jane or a different last name with jaylynn

good luck!

I like Rhea way better! JayLynn reminds me of Jamie Lynn Spears.

MedHelp should put up a way we can actually do polls!

by msgorgeous, Jul 22, 2008 01:39PM
rhealynn for the first name just an idea lol i like it

by JoyRenee, Jul 22, 2008 01:42PM
Oh that is an awesome idea, msgorgeous!!! Rhealynn or RheaLynn is very pretty. My youngest's middle name is "Lynn" after her Nonna (my MIL). Abigail Lynn is her full name. I can't remember what Lynn means though. I think it means "water running over" or something like that.

The name JayLynn is pretty, but paired with the middle name Jane, the two J sounds clash to me.  I purposefully stayed away from the J-sounds when going thru the lists for a middle name for our baby just because it sounds too J-ey.  =D

Like others have said, Rhea Jane flows much nicer, and I do love the way they fit ...but to avoid mispronunciation and mean names in her future, try a different spelling.

Also remember to put both names (and just the first name alone) with your last name to see how it flows.

Both names are beautiful and I hope you figure out which suits your little girl best!!

by msgorgeous, Jul 22, 2008 01:50PM
its a very pretty name joy like you said, its not common at all or atleast i dont think so. lynn means a cascade soo you were right. :)

lamb go with rhealynn lol but im not sure on the middle name tho sorry rhealynn is my choice and maybe yours too? lol

by lamb18, Jul 22, 2008 01:59PM
Wow ladies! Thanks for all of your help! I definitely want her middle name to be Jane because we are naming her after my mom. So, my only option is to change her first name. LOL.

How about Rhia? Is that a little better? The name RheaLynn is so cute, but the down side is that I have a cousin named RaeLynn. LOL.

Rhia Jane? Any bidders? LOL. Thanks again for everything!!!

by msgorgeous, Jul 22, 2008 02:03PM
i like rhia jane :)

by tarrah87, Jul 22, 2008 02:03PM
i really like RHEALYNN but i like laylynn as well but not with jane , jane goes better with rhea i think... but RHEALYNN IS VERY PRETTY!

by LauraB78, Jul 22, 2008 02:07PM
I like Jaylynn but not w/ the middle name Jane.. Too much Jay! =)  What about Jaylynn Raiya?

Just an idea, Let us know what you decide! =) Good luck!

by durhamjk1, Jul 22, 2008 03:05PM
On the spelling how about Raya - looks just like it is pronounced.  I am a teacher and know kids get so mad when you mispronounce their names.  Sometimes I wish parents would just spell it like it sounds (for the sake of their kids of course, they are the ones who get angry).

by LosingMyMindInGA, Jul 22, 2008 03:22PM
I like Rhea Jane but I also like Rhea Jaylynn

by SarahB79, Jul 22, 2008 03:38PM
I like Rhea but agree with the poster above that suggested alternate spellings so people say her name correctly when reading it.  I don't think Jane goes well with the first choice.

by kris777, Jul 22, 2008 05:43PM
I like Rhea Jane..........good luck!

by Kash12, Jul 22, 2008 05:54PM

jaylynn its cute and easy for people to pronounce my moms names spelt odd.....renea (renee) and she hates how people call her weird things. most people wont know how to pronounce rhea, because when i first looked at it it looked like ray - hey or something
