Hi,

Traditional chinese medicine is generally accepted to be safe yet the efficacy needs to be investigated. The NIH and WHO have agreed in different points of time that the efficacy needs to be established. However, please be advised that safety also is an issue.

Therefore, if you intend to get some treatment, your decision shpould be based on solid data and confirmed facts as well as belief.

Modern western medicine has also achieved a lot in neurology in the recent couple of years and therefore please be informed of what you can expect from the chinese medicine which makes it more "profitable" to switch.

Hope this helped. You may read more on this at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_medicine#Treatment

Best regards
