peuitary tumor

by snake117, Jul 22, 2008 03:52PM
I was diagnosed in mid April this year with a macro adenoma and am scheduled for surgery August 1st/08. About a week after being told I needed surgery and told of the serious risks of this surgery, I encountered severe pain throughout my colon and right down into my testicles. I had an ultra sound on my colon and stomach and all they came up with was some backed up fecal matter. I had a barium enema on my colon yesterday and won't know the results for a few days. Of course I am extremely stressed out as my surgery has been cancelled twice and now I am wandering if all this is just stress pains or is it something more serious! I had a colonoscopy two years ago and all was clear. I have been taking atavin at night to help me sleep and cope with the stress. I found that when I take the atavin my colon and stomach settles down almost comepletly. What are your thoughts on this? Darv.

What are the serious risks that you were told regarding surgery? Are you symptomatic with tumor? Is your pituitary functioning okay?
It sounds like you are stressed as well, and that will cause major pain and stomach discomfort. Try to calm down and just await your results...which is the worst part of it all. Waiting is torture when we are waiting to know what is wrong with us.
