To All

I am very sorry that I have not been much help to anyone lately. I am not ignoring everyone by any means. I have been so tired for the last week that all I have been able to do is sleep.
I called my onc today and he has advised me to stop my BP meds until I see him again next Mon and see if that will help. Hopefully it will and within the next few days I will begin to feel more myself.
Know that I think of you all daily and forthose of you with good news, I feel your joy and for those of you having rough times right now, I feel your pain. I have just not been up to posting to each and every one of you.
I am so excited about the upcoming trip to Springfield and hope to have this fatigue under control by then. But until I do, please remember that I have not forgotten any of you, and hope to be back posting soon.
I love you all!!

Chris you don't have to worry about us, you should just worry about yourself.  I am sorry that you are feeling so tired and I do hope easing up on the BP meds does help.  However, what does that do to your BP?  Are you going to be okay without it?  Those of us that are going are really looking forward to Springfield and we want you awake for it but not at the cost of your health.  Do take care Chris and know that you are loved and missed.

Chris,
All that matters is taking care of yourself first.  I hope that going off the BP helps, but I am like Jan, thinking, ok - then what about the BP?  Will you be alright without the medicine?  I will be thinking of you and you are always in my prayers. I am praying that everyone who is going will be of good health for the trip so that you can all really, really enjoy each other. It will be a special time. Hugs, Colleen

Hmmmmmm If you can't take your B/P medicine what about an alternative????
There are natural medicines out there that could help you control your bp. I'm pretty sure I know what it is, but your Doc can't tell you about it unless you ask. Let me do some research and I'll let ya know what I find.

Chris,
Thinking of you and hoping you feel up to par soon.  You are missed but you need to do what's best for you and just touch base when you can.  Hugs,  the other Chris - Chris P

Hey i'm back, found these. the first list is for high bp the second for low bp but there worth asking your doc about if you need an alternative.

High BP
Yarrow-avoid high doses if pregnant
Ju Hua
Hawthron
Wood Betony- avoid high doses if prenant
Linden
and Guelder rose

Low BP
broom- use only under professional guidance
motherwort- avoid if pregnant
rosemary.

Your doc may say no, but he may say yes to or tell you of something better.
Good luck.

I was on b/p meds for a while.  2 different ones, then the Dr. got rid of one, because I was improving.  Then I began to feel very tired all the time.  They took my b/p and it was 72/42.  Very Low so since the crisis was over they stopped the last med as well and I have been fine since then.  So I'll be hoping and praying that it will happen that way for you as well.  I hope you are feeling better for your up coming trip...keep in touch!~~~JOanne

Chris,
Your support and love for all of us is enough to carry us through during your rough times. Thanks for writing us.... I hope the lack of BP meds makes the difference.

Love,
Meg

They cut my BP med dose in half.  Evidently the chemo or ovca lowers it and the meds are not needed as much.  Take your time getting stronger and feeling better. Post when you are up to it and we will be thinking about you.

Don't worry about us, just look after yourself. I'm on BP meds too and I found that it went a bit awry during chemo and after. Not sure if it was the chemo, steroids or any of the other meds we take for the side effects. I actually got a home BP kit so i could keep an eye on it better rather than not know what was going on between doctor visits. I believe you can get some coverage for this on most insurance and also get discounts through other schemes. You can also lease them. Perhaps that could give peace of mind?

I'm really looking forward to Spingfield so just rest as you need and look forward to a great time we will have together. Is there any last minute thing for Springfield that the rest of us can do? You have done so much I just hope to return the favour.

I want to thank all of you for your concern and encouraging words. I am feeling a little better every day.
As for the BP meds. The Avastin that I am on has been the cause of the high BP. Since this was my week off, I should be ok. But when I go in Mon for my next treatment I am sure that I will have to go back on at least one of them. But for the weekend I will enjoy the fact that I am not sleeping the day away.
I kept my granddaughters last night and we had a good time. Thankfully I was not so tired as to interfere with my time for them. Oh, and by the way, I finally got a recent picture of my grandson and replaced the older one on my profile.
Thanks to all of you for thinking about me.
  Love to all,
    Chris
