C Section Scar Hurting

Dominics going to be 5 months in about 5 days and last time i was at the obgyn they said everything looked fine and the scar from the c section looked great. well that was a few months ago and lately ive been having pain and buring on the left side of the scar. half the time when im not wearing anything but underwear so i know its not all friction from my jeans or what not, plus i still wear a postpartum tummy thingy and that goes down past my bikini line/ scar.
ive tried scar oils and stuff but its still irritated and is painful. is there anything i can do?

mine itches sometimes but never was painful - I would call your doctor to see. I do know that it takes a full year for it to "offically" be healed inside and out so maybe something is tugging on the inside.

a year wow. when i look at it in the mirror...the middle of it is so faded you can hardly see it, the right side doesnt give me a problem, its pink but thats it, but the left side really hurts and thats like brown and very raised up and has pink on the outside of the brown, so im guessing its like inflammed or irrated

i agree about calling your doc. i've had 4 c-sections now and have never experienced that pain and burning your talking about. is it on the actual outside (like your skin) that you feel that or is it on the inside on the left?

ok... yea, that's a doc call!!! if it was on the inside then it could've been a nerve... i would call tomorrow and ask to make an appt!

call the doc to make sure, but you pretty much described my scar. i've seen my OB twice since birth, and he told me it's very normal both times. the right side is so faint i can barely see it. the middle is pink and looks like a scar. the left side is a raised, ugly red scar. every now and then the right side actually hurts. i have heard from people who have had c-sections that this is normal and can happen for years.

With my first c-section about 4 months after I developed an infection. One of my internal stitches didn't disolve and they called it a stitch granuloma. They gave me some antibiotics and it was gone in a couple days. I've never had a problem since and am going in for my 3rd c-section in 3 weeks! Hope this helps!

My c-section scar still gets pain in it, over a year later! My OBGYN told me that not all of the nerves will grow back together and occasionally they will miss fire and cause pain. But it is still probably best to talk to your doc!

yeah ill give them a call in the morning maybe they can suggest something that will help so i dont feel pain
