my bf possibly have herpes as doc told him

We have sex with my bf for one week when we are in vacation, three days after that pimple-likes occur in his genitals ..so he went to the doctor for check up,,doc tod him he might got herpes but inspite of that he made some test and the result maybe next two weeks..but the doctor gave him some antibiotics like valtrex. we talked over internet about it and im so worried thinking i might be the carrier of it..but i dont feel any symptoms lastly..well last few months like last 4 moths ago i feel scratchy or kinda rashes in my vagina but it just disappear after few days and i dont feel it until now..or is it possible he got an outbreaks because he told me he had shingles/herpes zorper before 2 years ago??

Herpes zoster/shingles isn't the same as genital herpes.

Its also possible its not herpes, so don't freak - just get tested.
