Premenopausal bilateral complex ovarian cysts

I was told today I have bilateral complex cysts on both ovaries. The right could be a dermoid but was told unsure. This one measures 6-7 cm and the right one is a bit smaller. My dr ordered a ca125, cea and beta hcg and maybe some other labs. I am 7 weeks postpartum. Is is possible for these cysts to be malignant or is he looking for some trophoblastic type disease. I only got to speak to the nurse and am panicky. I did have a dermoid on the left that was removed by laparotomy 10 years ago. Also, during my pregnancy, the right cyst was there from the start and I believe the left was found at a subsequent us. What are your thoughts?

Hi there. It's awful you are having to deal with this when you should just be enjoying your lovely new baby. Whenever cysts stick around or get larger doctors always have a concern about its pathology. But keep in mind that over 95% are benign but better safe than sorry. He is just covering all the bases and you should expect to have this treated in the same manner as you did previously. Please do keep us posted.
