How to help a schiszofrenic?

Hi there.  My grandpa killed himself, my auntie  the same, my brother same.  My mum which I suspect of a very accute schizhofrenia will came to live with me and my family (husband, child).  She will never admit she is sick but all her life she abused me and ruined all the things I done in life.  After my father died in an accident, I left home, at 17 years old.  My brother was week and remain home with her.  She convinced him that anyone around are enamies, that I do not love them, that they are the best in the world... He killed himself last year.  I moved overseas.  I have to take her here, to take care of her, but she is still trying to manipulate me.  She is very powerfull and I consider her dangerous, I am scared as I also know that is my duty to take care of her.  Please advise me what to do, how to help myself and my family and keep her at a minimum level of her MindWorld... She has no feelings for me, even I done lots of things for her, she treats me horrible and still deppreciate my life, even so I have a very good position in Society.  I can not tell her she is sick or to get help from doctors. This will be the end for us.  I am looking for family  asistence advises, what can we do from inside to control her.  Really appreciate.

  I have known quite a few Schizophrenics in my life, and I am sorry to hear about the past issues pertaining to your mother... The only suggestion I can offer since she seems to refuse treatment is, One day when your mother is with and suffering from one of her Psychotic episodes, call 911.... If she refuses to seek treatment(which a lot of individuals with Schizophrenia do because they are not aware they are ill)... This is the only way to get your mother help, Schizophrenia robs one of their own mind, so even though she treated you badly it was not HER!!!! it was the illness.... I am so sorry to hear about your brother that is awful.... If it makes you fell better I didn't have the best upbringing either, nothing to do with my mom or dad, but my brother mentally and physically abused me pretty bad...
