When to take a pregnancy Test?

I am off the pill about six months and i have been very regular. I am gettin my period ever 28 to 30 days. I was suppose to get my period between July 17-19. I still haven't received it. I took a pregnancy test this morning, it was negative. I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I don't know if i should wait to take another test. Or if this the polycystic happening all over again. I went on the pill because of the polycystic. What should i do?
