Help with Meds

I was on Dr.s Pain meds for a bad back,oxys, for 2 yrs, got off went on Suboxone 3 weeks now,Dr. told me to do 3 a day, i only did 1.5 a day and im down to 11/4 a day for the last 2 days and i hurt my back bad again and cant take the pain, im going to go back on meds again to rid of this pain,my question is how long do i have to wait till i eat a vic or oxy without getting sick and actaully having them work?, this *****.My last dose of sub was at 4 pm yesterday.Ive been taking a 1/2 in the morning.1/4 at 10am 1/4 at 1pm and then 1/4 at 4 to 6pm.since Sunday ,Before that same thing add 1/4 at 8 to 9 pm..

how bout if you do 3 subs a day? that might kill the pain. otherwise as far as i know sub has a 37 hr life. that would mean you has sub i system til at least5am tomorrow.

If it is im in big trouble.I dont think its helping with the back pain ,but certianly with withdrawl from Dr.s Meds he prescribed.Thanks.

Yes ive tryed acupuncture,Chiro,OTC ,Everyone gave me alot to think about,its like being in a online meeting in a much more informal way.Same message for most part.Kinda nice.Im going to probly just detox myself right off these subs like ive been doing. Im almost there.This whole thing with the pills is getting so old...

The main problem people experience with taking narcotics while on suboxone is lack of effect from the alternate narcotic....it would take on average 3 days or so to acutally feel the narcotic effect...and this is also dependent on dose of sub and how long u were on the sub...If u took your pain meds in a reasonable dose it would not likely throw u into withdrawls or anything...u just would not feel the effect/full effect of the narcotic u take until the sub is out of your system...you would have to take more to get pain relief until it is out of ur system/which could be dangerous.....and if u r at 4 mg a day this would not be near the wait as someone on 16 mg a day...nor if u had been on it for a short time like less than a month...the sub builds up in ur system so the longer u r on it the more time it takes to get out of ur system...37 hours is the half life...if u have been on sub for a while it would be a bit longer than that to leave ur system/even 5 days....a day and a half for a low dose sub user who has been on it less than a month ...u will not have withdrawals if u use...but you will not feel the full effect of the narcotic tho....and it would not be a good idea to take a large dose so it would help the pain..so basically it is pointless to use til the sub is out of ur system.....1.5 (for some) - 3 days (average) like ur doctor said is about right/depending on dose and length of time on the sub....because u would be wasting the oxy or hydros u take before this time...

I sent u a PM...hope ur puter is working ok to get it....u were on a low dose...u did not ay if the 1.5 was 1.5 mg or 1.5 in pills...2 mg and 8 mg pills...anyway 3weeks is not a long time to be on sub so u should be ok....i hope ur pain issue is resolved and that u stay safe..just do not be surprised if u take ur pain pills later today and u dont feel the full effect from them...it may take another day or so to feel the full effect

I know that i took them for 20 days. They are 8mgs.The most i ever took was 1and 3/4s in Laughlin on a couple late niters. I averaged 1 and 1/4 ..then mon-thur. it was 1 8mg per day in 1/4s. Last 1/4 thur at 5 pm.I feel rough.My back is really tight too.Hurt tight. I still have not eaten a pain pill nor do i intend too till the morning as hard as thats going to be.What do you think? Anyone?

ur doc said 3 days...u will not go into wd if u take it earlier....it just may not help a whole lot tile the sub gets out of ur system but it will not hurt you

Doc said 36 to 48 hrs.Someone here says 37 half life.And 37 hrs to 5 days if saturated hi dose.One guy said he ate the pain meds at the same time and after coming off Sbs and was ok, just didnt work well. I think you have to be careful with eating too many,if your not feeling head high from dose to soon it doesnt mean you eat a bunch to get that way, it might affect other areas of body like heart and breathing and too many is the same as too many when you feel them in your head if that makes sense.Truth is right now i so tired i just want to lay down..Thanks for help.I will check back later
