Please monitor your question for replies, because there are many wonderful people on here that can help both with taper suggestions and how the initial use of suboxone can effect you. Too much, too little?
People will need to know what your supply of suboxone is. You said a weeks worth, so is that 7 2mg pills, 14 2mg pills? How many 2 mg pills?
Suboxone is probably best used under the guidance of a doctor/psychiatrist. On initial visit the doctor gives you say 4 mg, you wait 30 minutes, and if withdrawals are gone fine, but if not, then another 4 mg. In other words, the initial dosage should be just enough to stop withdrawals. I've heard pf some starting at 16mg or more per day, up to the maximum of 32mg, the maximum dosage. Then one starts tapering from there.
ochooked is right, keeping sub use to under 21 days is usually preferred, so that one does not get hooked on sub. Your current supply of one week would, of course, not get you addicted to sub, but you would be on a fast taper off sub.
Anyway, many people more knowledgeable than I will come along. My very best to you.
One last thing, deceasedwithin. You said you were afraid of the withdrawals, and, of course, who wouldn't be? I might ask you though, which would you be more afraid of, continuing to be deceased within or the withdrawals? Withdrawals, as bad as they are, both physical and mental, do not last. Being deceased within, and perhaps eventually on the outside, will last forever. Many people on this site have wonderful recovery stories. There is hope. There is a wonderful life ahead for you. Please be less afraid of the withdrawals. Go for it with all of your heart and soul. I wish eventually to hear that you have changed your name, to "Alivewithin", or "Ihavemylifeback", or "Happywithin", or something wonderful like that. Please do this for yourself, for those that love you. There really is no other choice.
We will all be rooting for you. Please stay on here and keep us abreast of your progress. The support you will receive here on this site will be invaluable.
