This patient support community is for discussions relating to breast cancer, biopsy, genetics, chemotherapy, hormone therapy, lumps, lumpectomy, lymph node dissection, lymphedema, mammograms, mastectomy, radiation therapy, reconstruction, and self exams.
Some types of breast cancers, particularly Paget's disease, can present with itching in the skin or nipples. But other more common non-cancerous conditions (e.g. fungal infection and various dermatoses) which can cause itching and scaling of the breasts have to be ruled out first. Consulting with a dermatologist is the appropriate next step.
