Signs of Breast Cancer?

by Jessica42701, Jul 23, 2008 12:43PM
Some medical history first:  I've been on the pill for about 7 yrs.  About 8 weeks ago I started taking Cymbalta for depression.  I had my last period right on time about 3 weeks ago.  During which I was on antibiotics for a sinus infection.  Last week for two to three days I had pain, not considered severe but pain none the less, in the pelvic area.  The first day I thought probably just an ovarian cyst because it was localized to one side. The next day, it changed sides.  I dealt with it and went on with my week and it went away.  This week, I'm lactating.  Any ideas?  I thought it was too soon to see possible pregnancy symptoms.  Could this be it or could there be something really going on with me?  It's okay if I'm pregnant... not okay if there is something else going on.

Did you call your OB/GYN?  What do you mean lactating? Is it a discharge? Lactation doesnt usually occur in the beginning of a pregnancy as far as I know. 20 years ago I was on the pill for about 3 years when I found a lump and bleeding from the nipple. I was taken off the pill for 3 months, put back on another lesser dose for another 5 years. Now I am 40 and have been diagnosed with breast cancer, same side, same area as the lump was. Go to the doc. Forewarned in forearmed.

I think you would get more appropriate answers if you would post on the OB/GYN Forum. This is specifically for questions related to Breast Cancer.
