Throat dryness

by worriedsick1128, Jul 23, 2008 02:54PM
For about a week now, I have been experiencing significant throat and nasal dryness.  It started as a full feeling in my throat, and then now it feels like when I am just about to get a sore throat...but it is not soar when I swallow still at this point.  It feels like there is just no lubrication in there, and I have no mucous whatsoever in my nose.  Just won't go away, and it's more of a nagging feeling than painful.  Should I be concerned?  Or give it more time?

This is the pattern of many viral upper respiratory infections and should not worry you.  Give it more time – it usually takes a week to clear.  Just about any type of lozenges would counteract the dry throat.  Nasal washes might provide some relief of the dry nose.  To learn more about this technique please read our nasal wash treatment information by copying and pasting this address
