What is wrong with me???

by babegyrl, Jul 23, 2008 07:26PM
I have had 9 ct scans, 4 open MRI, extensive blood test, nerve conductivity test, strees test, a heart sonogram and a spinal tap, all in the last 6 years. Diagnosis? Nothing.  i am 34 years old. I have 4 kids.  I also have high blood pressure.

I have been to every hopsital in my area with headaches.  I sometimes have this burning in my left arm and legs.  I also have dizziness with occasional headache and sometimes I feel like I am off balance. I get this burning nd numbness in my face at times.  Sometimes I am so fatigued.  I cant remember things sometimes and many times it feel like I have a lisp when I speak.  Im feeling like I my have had TIA but it doesnt show up on any test.

My doctor says it is anxiety.  I feel it is something else.  If it is anxiety, that is all mental. Why are my symptoms so physical.  Ive been to a neurologist for the headaches and he told me to stop having all those radioactive test but I believe they are overlooking something?

What can it be???  How can I fix it or at least get a better control over it?

Hi there.

From what you have described, it seems that we are not dealing with any anatomical abnormality in the nervous system, and this may point out to problems with some chemicals called neurotransmitters, the imbalances of which can result in a variety of symptoms related to that of some form of depression or anxiety.

These imbalance can really translate into physical symptoms and treatment for such may ultimately lead to improvement or resolution of symptoms.

Other causes would include nutritional deficiencies, such as that of B vitamins and calcium, and testing for the levels of these may be warranted.

Regards.
