CFS leakage

I found out today that I maybe leaking cerebrospinal fluid.
This started the beginning of April and I have been treated for allergies since. Last month I had a sinius infection with a high fever (103 to 104) was treated in the emergency room. They had proformed a CT Scan and told me that the only thing wrong was an infection. After 2 wks on antiboctis and a week in bed I felt better but the drainage from the left side on my nose continued.  Today I finially was able to see a ENT doctor and at first he wanted to test for allergies.  I showed him the leakage and how fast the fluid drains.  He had me to fill a cup with the fluid and sent it for testing.  The doctor said that he is 90 % sure that I am leaking CFS and wants to wait on the test results before doing any other test or treatment.  He had asked me when I had had a head trauma and I haven't.  The doctor told me that was the only reason he knows of that would cause this.
Has anyone else had this condition?  What else could cause this?  What is the long term effects from this?
Any and all information is welcomed.

Hi,
Did the lab results confirm that it is CSF?
CSF leak can occur through the nose (csf rhinorrhea) or through the ear (otorrhea).
Some of the causes of rhinorrhea are blunt head trauma, sequelae of skull base surgery, and destructive lesions of the skull base and developmental defects of the skull bones.
Exact cause can be identified only by a clinical examination and CT scan of skull.
Please let me know if you need more information. Take care!
