My pain is moving!

It all started abou a week and a half ago, I woke up from a dead sleep with the most intense shooting pain through my left side of my jaw. I immediatly got up and took something for the pain. When I woke up I still had this intense stabbing pain through my teeth, upper and lower, up into my ear. I got some ambisol, which did absolutly nothing, then after a few advil the pain dulled and finally went away. Two nights later the pain returned, again, stabbing sharp pain only in my left side, upper and lower teeth into my ear. I tried sinus medication, thinking perhaps a sinus infection, these keep the pain at bay. Occasionally it is so bad it brings tears to my eyes. It is never in one specific tooth, migrates upper lower but always in the back. I just do not know what to do! I have no sensitivity when eating or drinking, cold or hot do not bother me, it seems to be bad only at night. I would like permanate relief! Help me!!

Seeing a dentist to rule out dental pathology is advised. If there is no dental pathology identified, seeing a tmj specialist is advised.
