Hear Ye! Hear Ye! Calling new cycle buddies!!

by wanting4#1, Jul 24, 2008 06:52AM
So, I am CD2 and thought that I'd start a post for all of us new cyclers!!!  Let us know what your protocol is for this month and we can unite with positive thoughts, karma, prayers, vibes, mantras - whatever works!! =)

I am very excited!! I'll be doing Femara again this cycle (did it on CD7 last month and will get to do it on CD3 this month!)  Hoping it will help to bring back a normal cycle!! Got close this past one - 32 days is the shortest cycle since failed IVF in Jan!  Also, found out that the good doctor agreed to an Estrogen patch for me!  Wooo-Weeee!!

Maybe I'll finally get lucky!!

Sending SSSSSSSSBD to all of us still waiting ladies!  Sending LOTS of positive thinking and prayers to those women who have achieved their BFPs!!!

I am CD2 as well.

I am off fertility medicine for 2 cycles.  I am thinking take Femera (CD3-7), estradiol (CD8-12) this cycle.  I don't think I am going to use any injection.  I will buy preseed and will use OPK and test on CD11 - CD17.

The past cycle I was so sure that I am pregnant.  I was 4 days late and it's turn out to be AF decided to show her ugly face on CD33.

Good luck to you this cycle and to all who are in 2ww right now...

SSBD to all

I have been off meds since my IVF failed in January.  We can't afford it (heck, the doctor's visits and consults for trying naturally are still killing us!!!)

I do Femara a bit different than most - I take all 10 pills on one day!  It's much nicer than having to take more meds everyday! I take enough pills already - LOL! :P  Also, I am going to do the Estrogen patch on Peak+3 through Peak+12.

Maybe this will be our month!  We can all support each other who have been trying for so long! :)

My DH is out of town for three weeks, we seen /baby danced  on my CD11.  I'm CD15 now  today is my OV day.   I'm not on any meds because my GYN wanted me to give it ten cycles before trying meds. This is my third cycle. However I had my IUD removed in December 2007 and nothing yet.

Hi.  Thought I would check in.  I am actually on cd3 today, so we're very close this time around!  I took Clomid and Femara in the past, but have been going all natural the last few cycles.  I actually had a progesterone test done last cycle and it came back at 10.6, which shows that I am O'ing on my own.  Yay!  I just try to use OPK and BBT and time it as good as we can.  I usually O on cd 12 and we're actually leaving for our beach vacation next Friday, which is cd 11, so hopefully some relaxation and a change in scenery will do the trick!  Best of luck to you all and I will be sure to keep you all in my prayers!

Hello all. I"m on CD1 today and will be doing Clomid CD3-7 and either IUI or timed intercourse.  My current RE's office is actually moving to a new facility on the very day of the insemination so I called my old RE (who doesn't know I'm seeing a new one) and he said he'd do it, no problem.  I'm going to see my current doc for an u/s a day early to see if they can do the IUI early and the next day (if I dont' do IUI with him) I'll have an u/s with my old doc and we'll do it right on time.  I know, I"m manipulating the system, but hey-I've got great insurance and I can do whatever I want, right?  Here's to BFPs this cycle!

Hello, Im on CD2 will start Clomid 100mgs tomarrow CD3-7, estradiol CD8-12 and prochieve CD17-30. This will be my 3rd and final round of this cocktail and if not prego this month will be referred to a RE. Hope this works so I don't have to see the RE but if not I'll keep my fingers crossed for the future. Baby dust to all......

Good Afternoon, Ladies!!

I took my 10 pills of Femara this a.m. and hoping for minimum side effects!!!

Tip of the Day:

500 mg of B6 in EXTENDED RELEASE (must be extended or sustained release) will significantly increases quality and quantity of Cervical Mucus!!  Take 500 mg once a day for 60 days and then reduce to 100 mg once a day!

I'm on CD2 and I'm getting excited too. I was just telling dh how much I like all the meds and procedures and stuff because I get my hopes up.  I hope it works this time!  I can only pray!

by Latrice414, Jul 25, 2008 09:12PM
Hey houston, i will keep you in my prayers for a BFP in august, i just hope i dont ovulate before the second of august, im going to assume i may be on a 30 day cycle, had d&c june 17th last day of heavy bleeding was june 22nd and light spotting on the 224-26th and my cycle started on 22nd of this month.  Well here's to much baby dust and sticky beans for august:)

by wanting4#1, Jul 26, 2008 03:19PM
Houston - that's funny that you said that about liking the meds.  I remember being SOOO depressed the cycle after my failed IVF. Okay, for obvious reasons, but also because I felt so 'lazy' - like I wasn't actively doing anything to ttc!  The daily meds always made me feel like I was getting closer to my dream!

Hopefully, August will be a good cycle for all of us long-timers!  I am ready to see some BFPs from this team!!

Tip of the day - If you are concerned about low body temperature, take your temp on CD5 - 9 and post ovulation days 5-9DPO upon awakening, at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and average them each day. (Also take your pulse during the day time readings).  At the end of the month, show them to your doctor - if they are averaging too low, it could be a sign of hypothryoidism - an obstacle to conception!

Good Morning Ladies - hope you had a good weekend!!  I decided to sit back, relax, and have a few drinks to unwind and hang out with some friends from out of town!  While the conversation is never far from the children topic, it felt good to just let loose!

Strange thing last night - I dreamt that I o'd this weekend and was freaking out because I am only on CD6 and I kept saying, "But it was too early!  We didn't babydance!"  Funny how this stuff plays on your mind, isn't it?

by candie429, Jul 28, 2008 08:46AM
wanting4#1 - Thanks so much for your tips of the day.  That is an interesting test related to your thyroid.  I've never seen that before and I may have to try that next cycle.  Sounds like you had a great weekend.  Sometimes we definitely need to just take a mental break from TTC and enjoy our time with DH/family/friends.  This week is my parent's 31st wedding anniversary, so we all went out to dinner yesterday and spent some time together.  It was really nice.  Your dream is too funny!  I have strange ones like that sometimes too.  I'm just hanging out here at cd7.  Have a good day!

Hey everyone... see a few of my last month's cycle buddies here so I might as well post here if you don't mind!

I'm on CD6 today so i'm on a similar waiting scale as a few of you.  I will ovulate in 7 days and AF due in 21 days.  I'm sooooo exhasted from my last 2ww I'm not going to stress myself out this time (hopefully!)

Any news with you all?

How are you doing Houston?

Wanting4#1:  Those dreams really get you doubting yourself don't they?  When I'm in my 2ww I often have dreams of being pregnant and when I wake up and poas and get a bfn I'm always so surprised!

Candie429:  It's lovely that your parents are 31 years together!  What an achievement.

by Houston79, Jul 28, 2008 04:45PM
Hey y'all!

I am also on CD6 and I'm on day three of Clomid.  I don't have any side effects from it...people say its so bad....maybe I'm just like this all the time! lol

Latrice- Thanks for praying for me! I'll pray for you too-seeing as we have this Grand Rapids/Chicago connection! =)  I hope we both get our BFPs this month. Its good to see another sister on here (i'm the only one I know with problems...).

Wanting4#1-  I know, I'm so crazy for like the meds.  Oh well.  But you're right, it makes me feel like I'm doing something to get pg.

Wannababe-Doing okay. No news here.  I think we're on the exact same cycle except yours is a little longer than mine. I'm only 25 days.  I forgot, are you doing IUI??  I was supposed to do IUI this month, but my RE is moving so he said we'll do an u/s to see if we can doing it early, but probably not.  So I guess I'm out until August 18.   Oh well, I'll still do Clomid and maybe I'll give myself the trigger and do timed intercourse.

Well, everyone, take care and enjoy the heat! I love summer!  SSBD to all! Hopefully this is our month and we can ALL move our thread to the May 09 babies. =)

Good Morning All!  Hope everyone is feeling optimistic and good today! :)

Just wanted to check in to let you know that I am thinking of you and sending positive thoughts to each and every one of you! :)

Tip of the day - Alternative therapies have been shown to be highly advantageous to women with fertility issues and very beneficial to balancing a woman's cycle; regardless if the cycle is natural or with articial means. IVF, for example, has been shown to have a significant increase in success for women using methods such as acupuncture.  In addition to acupuncture, chiropratic care, reflexology, herbal supplements, flower essences are all good options for women struggling to conceive!

Good luck and happy baby dance!

Happy 'Hump' Day to All! :)

DH comes home today after a fishing trip for 4 days - can't wait to babydance tonight! (Sorry, but the 'hump' made me think of him....LOL)

So, I am on CD8 and starting to feel the 'fullness' already in my ovaries!  I am really hoping that the Femara works this month and I have an earlier ovulation and start to get things to normal!!

Hope everyone is feeling healthy, happy and hopeful!  Let me know! :)

Tip of the day - My acupuncturist recommends trying to get in a 'babydance' about 5 days before you ovulate (I know that it's really hard to predict, but have fun trying - ;)).  Sometimes, the CM is present where it needs to be, but hasn't dropped down for you to know it and the sperm can live there comfortably waiting!
