Timetable for Stat C

What is the time table for Stat-C drugs to be introduced to the general population? I have HepC genotype 3A with cirrhosis Stage 4 and was unable to complete my first treatment with interferon/rivovarin because of high amonia levels after only 2 injections.

Not familiar with the term Stat C. But, a lot of the newer hcv drugs that are in trial now (protease and polymerease inhibitors) might not be ready for a couple of years or. In addition, it appears that they will likley include ribavirin and/or Peg Interferon in the mix. With your current situation and prior treatment expereince I think the best move is to look into those liverheads we wrote about. Since the UM and UF folks are both running those new drug trilas at their sites they will be very familiar with the future treatment expectations and probably be able to give you a better idea about timeframes and how you situation fits in with those timeframes and the drugs that will likley be a part in the future.
