TMJ anyone have a good outcome from appliances only?

by straight talk, Mar 16, 2007 12:00AM
Wondering if anyone has good results from wearing upper and lower appliances, am I doomed to need surgery or other procedures.  Physical therapy has helped a lot, makes the symptoms more bearable.

upper and lower at the same time??? ive never heard of that being done, but maybe some dentists do things differently. i wear a lower splint and it has to be a hard one. the soft ones didnt do anything but make it worse. im on my 4th (splint, nightguard all the same) and i need another. i crack them.
