No, I have not had a prostate exam. From your comments I assume you are ruling out any kind of STD. Did I allow enough time between the encounter and testing for the test to be accurate? What other symptoms of Prostatitis should I look for? Should I go to a GP for this exam.
Your GP can do this exam, and might end up referring you to a urologist if they find anything.
The symptoms of prostatitis vary, but you might have pain in your testicles or anal area, pain with urination, pain or redness at the tip of your penis, discharge, pain with bowel movements, difficulties with erections, etc.
You probably wouldn't have all of those symptoms, though.
