What you describe are feeling/symptoms which those of us suffer from anxiety or anxiety related disorders have experienced at some point.
I assume the doctor you're seeing is a GP, whereas, based upon your symptoms you need to see a mental health professional who can take a complete history, do a thorough evaluation and prescribe, if necessary, appropriate medication(s) and/or adjunct therapy.
Speak to your parents' openly about how you're feeling and tell them you want a second opinion from a psychiatrist. If they have your best interests at heart, and I'm sure they do, they'll set up an appointment for you.
This is something you should not wait on because it'll only get worse the longer it goes untreated.

It could be your thyroid, it could be your adrenal glands... or it could just be anxiety.
I always recommend excersise, therapy, and medication. Don't just take the medication, see a therapist or councelor as well. The 2 mixed together have the best outcomes. =)
You are going to be okay. =) Promise.
Could just be a phase your going through.
Keep in touch. =)
