post cabg complications

by deadly, Jul 24, 2008 07:48PM
hi,
I had cabg x4 operation on the 14th of June,2008. It is about 6 weeks today. I am recovering fine without any major  complication. Only since last week I have a skin rash around the sternum incision. However, the incision is fine. The rash looks bloody as very small quantity of blood percolates through the skin to form crusts on top of the skin. It is not painful, but very sore and tender as clothes rubbing against it causes irritation and a funny kind of pain. The doctor says it is suture reaction, which I want confirm. I would like any patient who have undergone similar problems to share his thoughts with me.
