For those that put up with us

by DennisTM, Jul 24, 2008 10:19PM
Do we give enough to the ones that give to us????????     I would like to give a shout out to those that put up with us,,,,, Namely my wife who is about to lose her sanity here at the end....... She has put up with so much,, and has given so much of herself to help see me through till the end... and to my children and step children who care about my health and keep an eye on me..... I have really given serious thought to quitting,, a few times but my wife is there to be my sanity when I am not strong enough to be my sanity...... So for all the care givers....... I salute you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Kris I love you very much!!! You are a saint!!!!!!!

Obviously, you must be worth all the aggravation!! Your wife and family are still there pushing you forward and want to keep you healthy for the long haul.  However, maybe there should be a forum for the families and friends of people going through treatment.  It has to be difficult for them to watch us be ill at times and feel so helpless. We came here for support and got it.  Where is theirs?  You are so right that they need a salute and more.
Good post.

Yeah, when you’re a couple of wattages short for so long, who else will be standing there patting your hand and giving you hugs when needed. They are in it for the long haul also and are a testament of any relationship.
