Slipped Disc

by HAR66, Jul 25, 2008 02:25AM
My 23-year old daughter was diagnosed with slipped disc a few months ago. Since then she has been to physiotherapy sessions which have not helped. Recently, her condition worsens and it's affecting her sleep. This in turn affect her epilepsy condition which she has been suffering from age 11. Her epilepsy is triggered by lack of sleep. We are currently seeing a local hospital for both conditions as a subsidised patient - her epilepsy medication is too expensive and since she has to be on long-term treatment we cannot afford to be on the private patient list. Getting treatment as a subsidised patient takes far too long and in the meantime, she has to bear the pain - a shooting pain that generates from the buttocks to the legs and poor quality sleep. This also affects her studies. Appreciate your advice please.
