Vaginal area infected

My vigina is swollen, and it hurts. I dont know, whats goin on. I need help, it has happened within the last week. I have had sex within this last week, but I dont know if it has anything to do it. I need help!!! I was on my period, when it first happened. I've been on since it happened this time, but I've stopped, and the swelling has went down but it still is sore. When I pee it hurts when I wipe myself. Can someone please help me figure out whats going on?

UM this is the dental forum. its called a vagina, and maybe you should go to the womens forum or better yet, call your dr. could be a uti.
