I need to pass a eye exam for my drivers lisence.  My vision with contacts is 20/60 and i need 20/50 to pass.  Could i wear both to take the test and drive?

Talk to your ophthalmologist and do whatever it takes to get the best possible vision.

If you normally don't wear both contacts and glasses simultaneously, I don't understand what good they would do you in this case. Technically, if your best corrected vision is 20/60 you would still qualify for a license, however, it will be restricted to some degree. Also, your eye doctor will probably have to examine your eyes. S/he will then fill out a form indicating your visual acuity, field of vision, and wether or not your vision is acceptable for driving under certain conditions, i.e. highway driving, driving at night, etc. Since, you don't say which state you live in it's hard to give you more information, my advice is to just call your local DMV and they should be able to provide you with the answers you need.
