Hematospermia (also termed, "hemospermia") is not uncommon and is usually self limiting (goes away by itself) and of short duration. A good physical exam, including a rectal exam, and urinalysis, is the standard way of evaluating a patient. If these are all normal, then further work-up is not indicated. The fact that your symptoms have   been persistent does concern me. In addition to the above, if your urologist does not find anything, he may want to get  a urine for cytology (looking for cancer cells), a PSA (blood test), semen culture and a trans-rectal ultrasound of your prostate.
The forcefulness of your ejaculate is often a function of age. As we mature ( I hate the word "older"), our semen tends to be expelled with less force. A stricture (narrowing in your urethra) may also play a part in all of this.
Consult with a urologist.
