Skin discoloration?

I have this weird skin discoloration on my upper thighs, around my testicles. It's brown colored. It itches sometimes, but not regularly. It used to itch alot. My pelvis isn't discolored, just that area. It smells weird also.
Any ideas? I can't go to the doctor right now, I'm switching jobs and my new insurance hasn't came into effect yet.

No easy answer here and unfortunately you'll need a professional opinion. If your new insurance hasn't kicked in yet, most communities have medical clinics that are free of charge or are based upon a sliding scale depending on your income.
Otherwise, you'll have to wait it out and if it's not that bothersome, I might just do that. If it occasionally gets itchy try some hydrocortisone cream, which should relieve the itching.
