Possible Thyroid Disease?

Well, all of these symptoms started some 8 days ago:
Dizziness, lightheaded, nausea, loss of appetite, yellow stool (I've had that one in the past), diarrhea, shakiness, chills and hot flashes, severe hunger, unmotived behavior, racing heart (went to an urgent care clinic, heart rate and blood pressure are fine), intolerance to heat, trouble sleeping, pain in my left side/arm, pain in neck, knot in throat, trouble swallowing.
In the past, I'd had some "gallbladder like symptoms" that were causing me grief with yellow stools, diarhea, vomiting, chills, and what have you. Ultra sound and HIDA scan came back negative. I had no gall stones, a little bit of sludge, but I went on a diet (high fiber, low calorie), my liver was functioning normally, and there seemed to be no structural problems. I had an upper and lower GI conducted. Negative for polyps, narrowing, stones, or damage. The only other symptoms I've presented are a sensitivity to NSAIDS like Ibuprofen, Aspirin, and Naproxen. These sorts of drugs bring on gastric symptoms like the yellow/panful, foul smelling stool.
My mother died when she was 28 of Colon/rectal cancer. She battled with it for two years, and finally died when the cancer spread to her lungs. Various portions of her colon had been removed to the point that she had to have a colostomy bag. According to my father and other family members, she had a thyroid disorder, but the doctors never deemed it "bad enough" to merit medication.
In recent years, I have had an intolerance to certain foods, and an upsurge in tendonitis in my arms and legs, plus these strange stomach ailments.
I have not eaten properly in the past 8 days, sustaining myself mostly on breads fruits and water. I took some flora fiber and have not had any diarrea since this morning.
I am currently visiting in Texas and will be back home in Indiana in August. Should I wait that long, or should I go to the ER? I'm very concerned, especially with the heart rates. I am unable to exercise (I usually exercise for about 30-45 minutes a day) because of the weakness/heart rates.
My resting heart rates have ranged from:
76, 80, 88, 92, 96, and even 104 at one point. It seems to worsen at night, but sometimes it flairs up, during the day while I'm moving about the house. I can't just stop moving around. I am looking after a 3 year old for a friend.
I've been having some, intermitten, sharp chest pains, but no crushing or pressured feelings, really. Only once in a while does it feel like someone has just kicked me in the chest, but I'm usually having a panic attack when that happens.
I know with panic attacks, some people experience heart-attack-like symptoms, but those same symptoms started before the panic attacks even began, so I don't think that's the problem here.
I have a sharp pain in my left rib, almost constantly.
Any suggestions?

You might go to urgent care or someplace and ask for a TSH test and a Free T4 test. If they are completely out of whack, you might ask if a beta blocker would be appropriate until you can see your physician at home.
