There is nothing strange in getting a mole checked out by a doctor, The ABCD is to help people at large to understand that if they notics a change in the behavior of their mole or body marks, they should be aware about it and try to get it checked out.
Perhaps the doctor would order a biopsy to try and find out what the cause would have been.
