I need help here, For those of you who know me I am going through Ativan withdrawal, man it ***** I was only on it for three months though, but still WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that is all I can say folks WOOHHHHH!!!! What a powerful pill, I started on 2mg daily and I am down to a wee 0.25mg daily, my question is I was put on Klonopin, blindly in hospital 0.5mg twice daily 6 years ago and I know I am also going through tolerance withdrawal from that fun stuff... Should I increase my Klonopin just until I am off the Ativan? Any advice would be greatly appreciated..... I want to keep my sanity folks..... These pills are no joke!!!!! for anyone thinking of taking one please don't!!!!!!!!!

Take Care Nate(+) P.S. 4 more weeks and I am off Ativan..... Also would an antidepressant save my sanity as well?

i'm sorry to hear your going through this. yes, an antidepressant may help. some of them can not only help with depression but anxiety as well. you should ask your dr. before upping your meds. i hope you start feeling better soon. take care. remar

nate,
please go to web site http://www.stormloader.com/bettyf/
i got there from internet explorer. please don't let it scare you. stay calm, i know what your going through. most doctors don't. your ativan and klonipan are basically the same thing. Benzodiazpine's (benzo's). Google the word and search for more info. i learned that valium was best to withdraw with. i know now that i should have done it much slower at first. i was on 8mg xanax, 4mg klonopin and 30mg temazapam a day for 7 years and towards the end, drank alcohol everyday. a year ago, i stopped the klonopin, xanax and temapazam replaced them with valium. xanax is 10x stronger than valium. i am still having a hard time, but so muchhhhh better. have not had a drink since june 29, 2007. i almost did'nt make it, but i'm here. if i can do it you can to.  please talk to a specialist, be aware that even some rehabs don't know how to detox benso's. it takes a LONG time to get of them and a long time to recover. do it slowly. they will fry your brain and wipe out your memory, all because you had a little trouble sleeping. sign the petition on the web site and read some of the comments. you are not alone nate. i understand.
