change in period after PID

by Briggs61, Jul 26, 2008 09:05AM
I have been treated for PID with a range of antibiotics after I had a termination in January. The flu like syptoms have gone and I feel much better however my period is now extremely short (1-2 days then spotting for 2) but still regular. Will this correct itself? Also I get a lingering back pain, dull abdominal ache and a heavy feeling (nothing to compared to the orginal pain and I am able to go to the gym and lead be more active now) Is it likely that my syptoms mean that I am infertile or have scarring as result of the PID? I have been booked in for a laproscopy but I don't want to risk having it done to end up with more problems/infection afterwards.

Your advice would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Lizzie
