EECP I

I am the one that asked the above question 7 yrs agol. I went thru the EECP and it did exactly nothing for me.I am still alive. Have had TMR also and that didn't help.  I am scheduled for another heart cath in 3 days as I have a lot of angina.  Am now 76 yrs old and I use Nitro Bid if I want to do any kind of activity. Have had 2 more stents put in and they didn't help.  Had lung cancer, removed 1/3 of lung and went thru 3 months of chemo. That is hard on heart. Not much left to do unless some kind of miracle comes along.

This discussion is related to EECP.

I agree. I have seen many patients benfit after a second course of EECP.  That being said, about 20% of the population does not see a remarkable response to the therapy.

That's rough. Maybe you can try EECP again, some people need more than one course to to benefit and then try to maintain the benefit by regular exercise, if yu can, or going back for repeat treatment once a week or so.
