how to recover from gallbadder removal?

i had gallbadder surgery on july 2, 2008. i had the new one incision surgery performed by a very well named surgeon. i was in a lot apian before i had this done but since i have had the surgery i seem to be in just as much and sometime more pain than i can handle. it is all in my back almost feels like pressure and i can not lay flat on my back i have been slpeeping almost straight up or leaned to the left for 4 weeks now. i have sharp pains my low adomen and sometimes they put me in bed and i'm swollen it this normal?? i cry almost everyday becasuse there is no relief from pain i even have pain pills (strong) that dont even seem to help it is starting to take it's toll on me the pain never stops. i have not been able to go back to work yet and have even missed my vacation with my family because of the pain i knew i just couldnt to do it. i'm very weak and nauseated and on top of everything else while in the hospital they found a mass on the outside of my right lung. they figured out that it is called mycobaterium avuilm something they said that i picked up from a lake river pond ect... and are treating it with some very very strong medication that i may be on for 12 months. my lung doctor dont seem to think the pain is from the infection but cant tell me why i'm in so much pain all the time. they started treating me for this 1 week after i got home from the hospital and the medication makes me sick it is so strong. has anyone ever experenice this before? i wonder if i need to go back to my gallbadder surgeon since i'm still in so much pain 24/7 i just can not understand why i still hurt so much all the time i havent felt good in over 4 weeks now and it's really starting to bring me down i just feel like i can not take this pain much more. has anyone ever been through so much pain just by having a gallbadder removed? any in put would be greatly apperciated.
still hurting

hi I had my gall bladder removed in 2000 and afterwards I was still experiencing the pain. my Gastroenterologist, at the time, said that sometimes stones can become lodged in the bile ducts of the liver and cause this.  He said if I was really worried he could do a endoscopic examination. Now the local doctor just says it is probably a reflux problem due to a hiatus hernia. Has anyone had this problem?.  I

HAD MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED AS WELL. I HAVE A HARD TIME NOT UNDERSTANDING THAT WHEN THIS MANY PEOPLE HAVE GALLBLADDER REMOVED,AN THE PAIN PEOPLE ARE GOING THROUGH. WHY ARE QUALIFIED DOCS HAVING A HARD TIME PUTTING US TOGATHER THE RITE PAIN FREE WAY. I WENT IN AS A EMERGENCY PATIENT. SO I THOUGHT GREAT PAIN WILL BE GONE. (WRONG) WOKE UP TO PAIN. TOLD DOC SHE SAID U JUST HAD MAJOR ORGAN OUT.GIVE IT 3 MO. SEEMED REASONABLE. GO BK 3 MO LATER WITH PAIN. DOC SAYS U SHOULD OF TOLD ME RITE AWAY. GO TO PRI CARE DOC AN GET MORE TESTS. DOC GOT MAD SAID FIND NEW DOC. SO I DID. AN WENT TO NEW GASTRO DOC. NOW HE SAYS HE CAN'T GARENTEE THIS WILL STOP PAIN. BUT THEY CLAIM GALLBLADDER WOULD AT LEAST COLLECT STONES. NOW WHERE DO THEY GO? NEW DOC SAYS THERE SITTING ON SPINTER. AN IT`S STOPPIN BM FROM COMMIN OUT. SO HE WANTS TO CUT IT SO STONES WILL GO THROOUGH. BUT I HEAR U WILL LOOSE UR BM CONTROL.....AN QUALITY OF LIFE IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT TO ME. HAD MRCP TEST DONE. IN A DAY I'LL GO TO FIND OUT IF THEY SEE STONES IN THAT AREA. TO ME IT FEELS LIKE MY APPENDIX IS GOIN. I FEEL THAT WE REALLY HAVE TO WATCH AN CHANGE ARE DIETS. WITHOUT GALLBLADDER WE CAN'T PROCESS FATS AN SUGARS. WENT TO HEALTH FD STORE. THEY RECOMMENDED LECITHIN TO HELP WITH FAT IN FD. TAKE PILL B4 U EAT.DRINK LOTS OF WATER 8 BOTTLES A DAY.WHEN I GIVE UP DK SODA AN JUST DO WATER. AN EAT LIKE A DIABETIC NO SUGARS NO GLUTINS. I CAN SAY FOR A FEW SECONDS HERE AN THERE THINGS GET HOPEFUL. JUST DON'T WANT IT TO TURN TO CANCER. CLEAN COLON LONG LIFE. I ALSO HEARD IF POCKET WAS LEFT U WILL HAVE PAIN AFTER SURGERY. IT HURTS SO BAD AT TIMES U WANT TO LOOK FOR URSELF. GOOD LUCK LETS NOT GIVE UP.AN IF WE GET FIXED LETS HELP OTHERS
