Which side

Hi

As I read all the different post I have noticed that every one says there left side is affected,
with me its my right side, if it has to be one side i would rather it be my left as I am right handed and I am finding it difficult to even mash the spuds.

My biggest problems are on my right side - right hand and right leg weakness - but I also have problems with my left hand and TN on the left side of my face.

Thank you

The last few days I have started to get some tingling on my left side but nothing like the right I really hope the left does not become the same as the right as I said before if I have to have this I wish it was the left.

I'm suffering bad with burning sensation on my right forearm again sick to death with it all but I will stay positive oh yes lol.

Hi Jen

Sorry I have just read your message,I have been resting that's all I seem to do it drives me mad.

Yes I am in limbo but I have polymyalia and fibro so some time I dont know what is what but my tingling/buzzing numbness and twitching has nothing to do with the poly or fibro.

I don't even know if I really have poly or fibro thats why I cant wait to get my mri and ultra sound.

The reason I say I don't really know if I have the poly or fibro is because I had blood test and they came back clear so the dr said I have these because of the symptoms couple of months later I went back to him about the tingling/buzzing ect and he said this is something different and sent me to the neuro so have I got poly or is this one of the same thing who know.

Any way enough about me how did you get on.

This is a ramble - I'm sorry you sound like you are in limboland too.  I have my neuro appt this afternoon and I'm a bit keyed up about it - waiting rots!
My left side is where the most problems are, left shoulder all the way down to fingers, but recently my right side has kicked it up a notch.  The right shoulder always was painful (on and off for10years now), so much so that I started to think that I am dealing with an actual shoulder injury on top of the rest of the issues.  I have twitches mostly on the left, but also strange ones on the right, and a week ago I had a buzz in my groin that was on the right side - lasted two days and hasn't come back since. My right arm is now twitching at the forearm and at the same time, my thumb will jump... My upper back, from shoulder to shoulder across my neck has really been painful the past month or so - it gets so tight by about 2pm that I doubt daily whether I will make it til the end of the workday (on a computer) without some sort of relief - an icepack seems to help sometimes.  Laying still at night I can identify a bunch of different buzzes, twitches and 'hot poker' sensations - thankfully so far when it happens during the day the worst is the upper back pain, and from time to time I need to yell from the hot poker.  So, I don't know if one-side is a sign of MRI-yes, or MRI-no.  I'm not dx YET.  I do know I have lesions on my spinal cord and brain, and will expect to know more after this afternoon's appointment.

Today's motto:
This too shall pass!

Peace-
Jen

Thank you very much for your replies

I just wish my ultra and mri scan would hurry up, just so I can have some sort of closures to this.

All this waiting is driving me mad.

Thank you once again.

There actually is no rhyme nor reason to which side it hits.  In my case it hit my right (dominant) side.  I have paresthesias in my rr toes, weakness in the right leg as a whole which is pretty severe in the R hip Flexors, R leg spasticity, decreased sensation throughout the R side, pain my right arm, weakness in the hand and upper arm.  My Trigeminal neuralgia was on the L side though.

I also have hyperreflexia in all extremities, but it is worse on the right.  My left foot has more clonus than my right which no one understands, least of all me.

This is an example of how MS tends to hit asymmetrically.  People who have problems initially in both feet and both hands, or diffusely all over to the same degree, typically do not have MS.

Not def dx with MS yet but it's my left side.  90% of my issues are on this side.
